Risk, Disaster, and Humanitarian Communication is a CHED-required course that studies the principles of communicating effectively with vulnerable stakeholders prior to, during, and after the onset of risk situations. It also seeks to familiarize students with communication strategies used in humanitarian aid operations which contribute to the protection of people and property in times of disasters and emergencies. It also aims to broaden the student’s understanding and skills in emergency communication strategy design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
